Plan credits for accepted video, not ideal first attempts. Replace every example input with verified provider rates and your own production observations.

01 / ASSUMPTIONS

Set the scope

Starter values are educational assumptions. They do not represent any provider's current price or measured acceptance rate.

Compare a draft → final workflow (optional)

Alternative scenario: use a cheaper draft pass for exploration, then generate final clips. Only compare if your draft and final outputs genuinely support the same deliverable.

02 / ESTIMATED REQUIREMENT

Credits per project

2,250

Planning credits, not a quote or a guarantee.

Alternative draft → final credits—Difference vs direct workflow—Both forecasts are illustrative. Drafting may not reduce final failures.
One-pass baseRetry allowance

Estimate assumes 30 approved clips, 2.5 attempts per clip, and 5 credits per second.

03 / METHODS & LIMITS

What this estimate does—and doesn't—include

We calculate accepted shots = ceil(final seconds / shot seconds), then planning credits = accepted shots × attempts per shot × billed seconds per shot × credits per generated second. The attempts figure is an average planning factor, not an instruction to perform fractional generations. Actual invoiced counts depend on vendor billing rules.

The tool assumes uniform billed shot length and zero rights, editing, labor, subscription-proration, taxes, or finishing charges. The optional draft-to-final comparison adds two user-entered generation stages and does not assume a draft guarantees final acceptance. Input must be changed to match the service you intend to use. A shortfall is not a recommendation to purchase any particular subscription. For plan comparisons, first check the current provider's rules for included credits, purchased credits, expiration, and billing cycle.
